Moving Into a New Apartment: What to Know Before Moving Day
An apartment move can look easy on paper. You pack a few rooms, load the truck, drive to the new place, and unload.

Eastlake, Otay Ranch, Rancho del Rey and Millenia are mostly two-story homes and townhomes in HOA communities, some gated, with move-hour rules and limits on where a truck can park. Send us the gate code and the HOA’s rules and we plan around them. We protect stairs and banisters and take apart beds, cribs and play sets so they move safely.
West of the 805, Chula Vista has older single-family homes, duplexes and apartment complexes with exterior stairs and tight parking. We look at the access before moving day and send enough movers so the stairs do not stretch the day. Stairs are part of the hourly rate and never billed as an extra.
Chula Vista is served by the 5, the 805 and the SR-125 toll road, so moves to downtown San Diego, National City and Coronado are short, but the 5 and the 805 are slow at rush hour. Many families here are stationed at Naval Base San Diego or North Island. We move military families as a private move, not under a government contract, so you book and pay us directly.
