Pricing
How a long-distance move is quoted
Unlike local moves, long-distance moves are not billed by the hour. The flat price comes from four inputs:
- Inventory. Every item that goes on the truck, from a visual estimate at your home or a video walk-through.
- Distance and route. Mileage, mountain passes and overnight stops.
- Access at both ends. Stairs, elevators, and how close the truck can park.
- Services you add. Packing, unpacking, storage and declared-value coverage.
The written price covers everything listed on it. An accurate inventory is what keeps it accurate, so the estimate is the most important step.

We inventory every room and check access at both addresses, then put the flat price in writing.

Loading day and the delivery window are confirmed together. A deposit holds them.

Verified Great guys to work with The guys were fast, nice and great to work with. They were also honest and careful with all of my belongings. I say honest because something was broken and they showed me before moving it. They did NOT break it. They just noticed it had been repaired and instead of pretending nothing was wrong, they pointed it out even though I may have thought they did it. It was from the previous move.
I recently used JFK moving for a second time. Just like the first time the service was excellent, they arrived on time, and there were no extra charges or outrageous fees. The movers were so skilled and were able to get my furniture in and out without any problem. The workers handled my items with care and put them just where I wanted them At the end of the move, I actually thought the fee would be more than it was. If you’re considering a move, I highly recommend JFK moving. As a two time customer, I could say that the service was outstanding both times.
The team was great and was very thorough moving all our things, checking in with us throughout the process. It was a super long day but they were friendly and made the moving process less stressful. Definitely will use them again for our next move.

JFK Movers were excellent. They were friendly, efficient and professional. I was very grateful that they offered to put my personal , non- storage items in my car. I had a recent knee injury so this proved to be very helpful. The movers moved my things in record time; I was impressed and will use them again in the future when I have another planned move.

Unlike van-line brokers, we do not hand your household to a carrier you have never met: the crew that loads in Southern California drives the dedicated truck and delivers at the other end. That means no transfers, no consolidated loads that sit in a warehouse, and a delivery date you know before you book.

- A dedicated truck and crew for your move only.
- Furniture wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap, mattresses bagged, TVs and art boxed on request.
- Loading, transport, unloading and placement, plus disassembly and reassembly of beds and tables.
