Large hillside homes
Most Palos Verdes Estates moves are big single-family homes on sloped lots, often with split levels, long walkways and several sets of stairs between the street and the front door. Many hold art, antiques, mirrors and stone-top tables. We bring enough blankets, shrink wrap and boxes for the whole house, protect floors, banisters and door frames, and size the crew so the stairs and longer carries do not stretch the day.
Steep, winding streets
Streets on the Palos Verdes Peninsula curve and climb, and many driveways are steep or shared. We look at the access before moving day, choose a truck that can park and turn around safely, and, where a large truck cannot reach the house, shuttle furniture in a smaller vehicle. Ask the city about parking a moving truck on your street before you book the date.
Getting on and off the Peninsula
Palos Verdes Drive North and Palos Verdes Drive West are the main ways in, with Pacific Coast Highway and the 110 below. Moves to Torrance, Redondo Beach and the rest of the South Bay are short hourly moves; for moves toward central Los Angeles we start early to stay ahead of rush hour. See local moving.
