Mid-century homes and condos
Palm Springs is known for its mid-century modern homes: low, open houses with glass walls, terrazzo or polished floors and design furniture worth protecting. We cover floors, wrap every piece and box lamps, mirrors and art on request. Many moves are condos and townhomes in gated complexes and country-club communities with HOA move hours and parking rules, so send them to us when you book, or check with the HOA if you are unsure.
Second homes and seasonal moves
A lot of Palm Springs moves are second homes: furnishing a vacation house, clearing one after a sale, or moving a part-time resident in for the season. We can meet a property manager or a key at the door, and hold the load if the dates do not line up, with overnight storage on the truck or longer storage.
Desert heat, wind and festival traffic
Summer days in Palm Springs are regularly well above 100 degrees, so summer moves start at first light and finish before the worst heat. Wind through the pass near the I-10 can be strong, so mattresses and soft furniture are shrink-wrapped before they go on the truck. In April, Coachella and Stagecoach in Indio fill the I-10 and the valley hotels, and Modernism Week in February brings crowds to town; book around those dates if you can.
