Moving in Oceanside

Beach condos and downtown apartments

Downtown and South Oceanside near the pier have condo buildings with elevator reservations and certificate-of-insurance rules, older walk-up apartments and beach cottages on narrow streets. We send the COI ahead, book the crew into your elevator window and check the parking first. Summer weekends near the beach are busy, so weekday mornings are the fastest time to move.

Family homes, HOAs and 55+ communities

Inland Oceanside is mostly single-family homes and townhomes, many in HOA communities with move-hour rules, and active-adult communities such as Ocean Hills. Downsizing moves get extra time for packing and careful handling of china, art and heirlooms; our packing service can pack the whole home or just the kitchen.

Camp Pendleton families

Oceanside sits next to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, and many of our moves here are military families moving on or off base or between homes in North County. We move military families as a private move, not under a government contract, so you book and pay us directly. Check the base’s access rules for a civilian moving truck ahead of time, and we plan the start time around the gate. The 5 and the 76 are slow at rush hour, so we start early.

How it works

Your Oceanside move in four steps

  1. Step 1: Tell us about the move

Call or send the form with both addresses. A short phone or video walk-through of your Oceanside home sizes the crew and the truck.

  2. Step 2: Get a written estimate

Hourly rate, crew size and estimated hours in writing before you book. Weekday and mid-month dates are the easiest to get.

  3. Step 3: Moving day

The lead mover calls ahead, the crew protects floors and door frames and wraps every piece of furniture before it leaves the room.

  4. Step 4: Set up in the new home

Furniture placed where you want it, beds and tables put back together, and a walk-through with you before the crew leaves.
