Movers in Long Beach

Moving in Long Beach

Long Beach has three kinds of moves. Downtown and along Ocean Boulevard, it is towers and mid-rises with loading docks, elevator reservations and a certificate of insurance for management. In Belmont Shore, Naples and Alamitos Beach, it is older apartments and duplexes on narrow streets with alley access and very little parking. In Bixby Knolls, Los Cerritos, Lakewood Village and Los Altos, it is single-family houses with garages that take a full crew most of the day.

We plan each one from the street up: COI and elevator time for towers, a truck sized for the alley in Belmont Shore, and an inventory that includes the garage for houses. Moves between Long Beach and the rest of the South Bay, Orange County or the Gateway Cities are short hourly local moves.

How it works

Your Long Beach move in four steps

  1. Step 1: Tell us about the move

Call or send the form with both addresses. A short phone or video walk-through of your Long Beach home sizes the crew and the truck.

  2. Step 2: Get a written estimate

Hourly rate, crew size and estimated hours in writing before you book. Weekday and mid-month dates are the easiest to get.

  3. Step 3: Moving day

The lead mover calls ahead, the crew protects floors and door frames and wraps every piece of furniture before it leaves the room.

  4. Step 4: Set up in the new home

Furniture placed where you want it, beds and tables put back together, and a walk-through with you before the crew leaves.

Tips for your move

Moving to North County San Diego: Coast vs. Inland Guide

North County San Diego is the stretch of San Diego County between Camp Pendleton and the city of San Diego. When people talk about moving to North County San Diego, they usually mean one of five cities: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos or Escondido. Our Escondido office runs moves across all of them, and the first question we help people answer is simple: coast or inland?

Moving from the Bay Area to Southern California: A Guide

Moving from the Bay Area to Southern California is one of the most common long-distance moves in the state. We see it from San Francisco, the East Bay, the Peninsula, San Jose and Sacramento, headed to Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and San Diego. Because the whole trip stays inside California, it works differently from a local hourly move, and knowing how it works makes planning much easier.

Moving to Orange County: A Mover’s Guide to OC Cities

Orange County looks small on a map, but moving to Orange County really means choosing between three different kinds of place: the beach cities, the older central core and the master-planned south. Our crews run Orange County moves every week from our Anaheim office, and the right pick usually comes down to three things: your commute, the type of home you want and how much space you need for your budget.
