Craftsman homes and hillside streets
Eagle Rock has many Craftsman and Spanish-style homes from the early 1900s to the 1940s, often on sloped lots with front steps, narrow driveways and hillside streets that are tight for a large truck. We check where the truck can stop, carry up and down the steps with dollies and pads, and take apart furniture that will not clear older doorways.
Apartments and duplexes on the boulevards
Along Colorado Boulevard and Eagle Rock Boulevard there are apartments, duplexes and small buildings with tight street parking. Stairs in walk-ups are part of the hourly rate. Students and staff at Occidental College move around the start and end of the school year, so book early for those weeks.
The 134 and the 2
The 134 runs along the north edge of Eagle Rock and the 2 along its west side, so moves to Glendale, Pasadena or Highland Park are short. Moves to the Westside or the South Bay cross the busiest freeways in the city, so we start early to keep the drive time down. See local moving.
