Moving in Orange, CA

Old Towne and historic homes

Old Towne Orange is a large historic district full of Craftsman and Victorian homes with narrow doorways, original wood floors and tight hallways. We add floor runners and door-jamb protection, take apart beds and tables that will not clear a turn, and plan parking on the narrow streets around the Plaza.

Hillside homes and large lots

East Orange is different: two-story homes in Santiago Hills, Serrano Heights and Orange Hills, often in HOA communities with gates and move hours, and large lots with long driveways in Orange Park Acres. We get the gate code and HOA rules ahead of time and bring a truck that suits the street.

Students, hospitals and the freeways

Chapman University brings apartment and student moves in late May, June and August, and the hospitals near the 5 and the 22 bring a steady flow of relocations. Orange sits around the interchange of the 5, the 22 and the 57, with the 55 on the east side, and all of them are slow at rush hour, so we start early.

How it works

Your City of Orange move in four steps

  1. Step 1: Tell us about the move

Call or send the form with both addresses. A short phone or video walk-through of your City of Orange home sizes the crew and the truck.

  2. Step 2: Get a written estimate

Hourly rate, crew size and estimated hours in writing before you book. Weekday and mid-month dates are the easiest to get.

  3. Step 3: Moving day

The lead mover calls ahead, the crew protects floors and door frames and wraps every piece of furniture before it leaves the room.

  4. Step 4: Set up in the new home

Furniture placed where you want it, beds and tables put back together, and a walk-through with you before the crew leaves.

Tips for your move

Moving to the Inland Empire: Cities, Commutes and Heat

Most people moving to the Inland Empire tell us the same thing: they want more space. A bigger yard, a garage that fits a car, a newer house, or simply more home for the money than they could find in Los Angeles or Orange County. Our headquarters is in Moreno Valley, so the Inland Empire is home turf for our crews, and we see what works (and what goes wrong) on moving day across both counties.

Moving to North County San Diego: Coast vs. Inland Guide

North County San Diego is the stretch of San Diego County between Camp Pendleton and the city of San Diego. When people talk about moving to North County San Diego, they usually mean one of five cities: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos or Escondido. Our Escondido office runs moves across all of them, and the first question we help people answer is simple: coast or inland?

Moving from the Bay Area to Southern California: A Guide

Moving from the Bay Area to Southern California is one of the most common long-distance moves in the state. We see it from San Francisco, the East Bay, the Peninsula, San Jose and Sacramento, headed to Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and San Diego. Because the whole trip stays inside California, it works differently from a local hourly move, and knowing how it works makes planning much easier.
