Moving in Valencia

Planned neighborhoods and HOAs

Valencia was built as a planned community, with two-story homes, condos and townhomes in HOA neighborhoods connected by paseos. Many HOAs set move hours and guest parking rules; send them to us and we plan the crew and truck to fit. When a certificate of insurance is required, we issue it before moving day.

Family homes and garages

Most moves are family homes with four or five bedrooms, a full garage, kids’ rooms and outdoor furniture. We take apart beds and play sets, load the garage last so it comes off first and protect floors and banisters.

The I-5 and the drive to Los Angeles

The I-5 runs along Valencia’s west side, and the drive into the San Fernando Valley is slow at rush hour. We start early. Moves to Santa Clarita and Newhall are short hourly moves; summer days are hot, so morning starts are best. See local moving.

How it works

Your Valencia move in four steps

  1. Step 1: Tell us about the move

Call or send the form with both addresses. A short phone or video walk-through of your Valencia home sizes the crew and the truck.

  2. Step 2: Get a written estimate

Hourly rate, crew size and estimated hours in writing before you book. Weekday and mid-month dates are the easiest to get.

  3. Step 3: Moving day

The lead mover calls ahead, the crew protects floors and door frames and wraps every piece of furniture before it leaves the room.

  4. Step 4: Set up in the new home

Furniture placed where you want it, beds and tables put back together, and a walk-through with you before the crew leaves.

Tips for your move

Moving to Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley: A Guide

Every week our Los Angeles crews drive a family over the Newhall Pass with a truck full of furniture. Moving to Santa Clarita, or further north to Palmdale and Lancaster, is usually about space: a bigger home, a yard and a quieter street than the same budget buys in the LA basin. The trade-offs are the commute, the weather and, in many neighborhoods, HOA rules.

Moving to the Inland Empire: Cities, Commutes and Heat

Most people moving to the Inland Empire tell us the same thing: they want more space. A bigger yard, a garage that fits a car, a newer house, or simply more home for the money than they could find in Los Angeles or Orange County. Our headquarters is in Moreno Valley, so the Inland Empire is home turf for our crews, and we see what works (and what goes wrong) on moving day across both counties.

Moving to North County San Diego: Coast vs. Inland Guide

North County San Diego is the stretch of San Diego County between Camp Pendleton and the city of San Diego. When people talk about moving to North County San Diego, they usually mean one of five cities: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos or Escondido. Our Escondido office runs moves across all of them, and the first question we help people answer is simple: coast or inland?
